So you’ve purchased one or more of the products in the I’m Listening suite of products? Congratulations! This is a great step in accessing the wisdom within you and creating the life you want. Each product in the I’m Listening Now suite is based on the philosophy that the wisdom we need is always within our reach – if we would clear the path and create the space to hear it. So what do you do now?

How and when are the downloadable chapters delivered to me?

If you have purchased the video or audio downloads, they are available immediately for your use. The video chapters are large-ish in size, so we ask you to make sure you have plenty of time when you set about downloading them.

We put a time limit of 3 days on the download page – so please take note of that and make sure you download the video or audio chapters well within the timeframe. We expect that you will have no trouble in completing the downloads in that time.

Once you have downloaded the video or audio chapters, save them on your computer. For ease of download, they are provided in compressed (zip) format – you will have to “unzip” them before viewing. Normally, you will be able to “unzip” simply by double-clicking on each “zipped” file. If your computer does not support this, UnZip software can be downloaded from www.pkware.com or www.winzip.com.

Save the video or audio chapters on your computer, ready for use. You can view or listen to them any time you like. We do ask that you don’t forward them to anyone else – if you love the I’m Listening Now process, please share the website with others and have them download the video or audio chapters for themselves.

How do I play the video chapters?

The downloadable video chapters will work for PCs and Macs, and will run without further ado on most computers. If you do experience problems, you may require a free net download. The video chapters require a VLC compliant media player, such as Apple’s Quicktime player (for PCs and Macs) or VLC media player. Follow the links if you need to download a suitable player.

How do I play the audio chapters?

The downloadable audio chapters will work on a PC or Mac if you are using a computer, and should work without further ado. You can listen to them in iTunes or Windows Media Player or, if you don’t have either of these players, you can download one free from: www.winamp.com.

You can also transfer the files to your portable device; most players will handle MP3 files.

How many chapters are there? How many questions are there?

There are 5 downloadable chapters that take you through a journey to access your own wisdom and solve your own problems. Each chapter has between 10 and 30 compelling questions. In each chapter, I ask you a set of powerful questions that get you thinking (and feeling and imagining and remembering and sorting) about your life, your situation, your perspectives, your actions. The chapters are organised to take you through a journey of understanding where you are at now; to shifting your perspective; to recognising and honouring your life’s gifts; to identifying executable actions; and to summarising where you are at now. This process will help you create clarity and energy in your life.

Carolyn from Boston said:

“I liked that the questions gave me the tools and framework for addressing issues. This framework can be used again and again. I liked that it allowed me to go at my own pace. I liked that it prompted me along in an organized way. The DVD did as promised, set the scene, shifted my perspective, outlined some actions and then summarized. The progress was empowering”.

How do I use the downloadable chapters?

Once you have downloaded the chapters, remember the keys to making the downloads work for you: You need to interact with the process. Do not just watch the video or listen to the audio! Interact with it! Play the video (on this page) for some tips on how to use the downloadable chapters / DVD. (Click here to be taken to the video; then click beneath the video to play).

Play the video or listen to the audio at a time and in a place when you can respond to the questions. You might want to play it on your laptop with your ear buds on, or transfer the audio files to your iPod or MP3 player and listen to it at a time which will allow you to pause after each question and either:

(a) think about your response or

(b) have your journal handy and write your responses down.

If you are alone or where no-one else can hear you, you might want to pause after each question and respond verbally (yes – answer out loud) as though you were sitting with a friend (this might feel strange, but for some of us, we literally do not know what we think or feel until we hear the words coming out of our mouth. If this is true for you, try answering out loud to each question, just make sure you have the privacy you need).

If you are journaling, remember to:

(a) keep a dedicated journal for your I’m Listening Now sessions and;

(b) pause the video or audio to take as much time as you need to and write your responses down (consider stopping the analysis in your mind and simply write what comes out of the end of your pen).

If you are not writing your responses down or answering out loud, make sure you pause the video and take as much time as you need to fully reflect on the question and your response to it.

If you have purchased the audio only downloads, please note that you will not see the screen page that encourages you to PAUSE after each question. The audio chapters move from one question to the next with only a few seconds of reflection-inducing music to separate them. You will need to remember to pause the audio after each question to allow reflection time. You might find the Companion Guide E-Book especially helpful, if you have purchased the audio only downloads.

I’m Listening Now is like sitting down with a good friend over a coffee. These kinds of friends listen, you talk. These kinds of friends ask powerful questions that guide, help, support and shift – you answer them. The power is in your hands.

The key to the downloadable chapters working for you is to interact with the process.

Cameron from Vancouver told us:

“A great way to interactively work through issues. The product provides an organized framework for approaching your unique problem. It gives you the tools to shift your perspective and develop an action plan for getting through your issues. It was more interactive and useful than a book. By having someone guide me through, ask probing questions and prompt me at just the right time was very valuable. Overall, it gave me comfort that someone was listening but was not too invasive”.
